OVERVIEW

SF City Impact is a non-profit organization that exists to intervene on behalf of the people in the inner city of San Francisco. We ensure every decision keeps our pace, benefits our people, and helps tract towards our strategic plan. 


ROLE SUMMARY

Missions Department Support Staff members provide important ministry and relational support during busy summer months.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Host Guest Groups and Churches
    • Provide hospitable care to groups and their leaders for the duration of their visit
    • Be willing to “go the extra mile” for the sake of visitors
    • Lead early morning and/or late evening hosting shifts
    • Pray regularly with guest groups
  • Connect with Guests
    • Assist guests with cross-cultural understanding of the Tenderloin
    • Build new relationships with guests of all ages in an appropriate manner
    • Connect relationships to Development for follow-up
    • Serve others in a Christ-like manner
  • Support SFCI Departments
    • Work cooperatively with other SFCI departments and staff
    • Support and participate in spiritual life activities
    • Maintain safety and quality of facilities utilized
    • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Love for Jesus and His Church

  • Agreement with the statement of faith, theology, and core values of SF City Impact

  • Demonstrates integrity, truthfulness, discretion, and conducts self in a professional manner making proper use of organizational resources

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills

  • Able to work in fast-paced and high energy environment

  • Demonstrates the ability to work with others and submit to authority

  • Demonstrates a desire and ability to create an inviting and welcoming space for guests

  • 3 months SFCI missions and/or School of Ministry experience preferred
