2015 Pre-Christmas Outreach: Recap

On Saturday, December 12, City Impact hosted its annual Pre-Christmas Outreach. This year, 350 volunteers were mobilized to serve residents of the inner city of San Francisco. Volunteers were briefed in 15 outreaches, including a Kid’s Christmas Party, building parties, meal deliveries, medical house calls, Christmas gift deliveries, women’s ministry, and a Sit Down Café.

City Impact focuses on the children of the inner city during the holiday season through Christmas parties and toy giveaways. This year, 150+ children attended the Christmas Party. In addition to the party, volunteers delivered toys to students at City Academy, our K-8 School, and to children in the inner city of San Francisco. Each year hundreds of families and children sign up for Christmas gifts for a small fee of $5. This helps restore dignity to families, and like many outreaches, help make short term connections for a day to reap long term investments over time.

Thank you to all our volunteers and leaders for intervening on behalf of and serving residents of the Tenderloin this holiday season!
