Men's Breakfast: Role Models in the Tenderloin

On Saturday, October 1, 2016, the first Monthly Men's Breakfast was held at the City Impact Rescue Mission. Friends, volunteers and community members gathered from around the Tenderloin, and the Bay Area through Adopt a Building and many other City Impact ministries.

Over 40 men gathered together over a full breakfast meal: eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, fruits and coffee!

After the meal was served, Pastor Ralph shared an encouraging note for all to hear.

"Idle time will kill you! That is why it is important to stay focused!"

This is the first of a monthly meet-up to provide a space for men to connect, invest in one another, and be encouraged. Often the relationships in the Tenderloin are characterized by the absence of male role models, or leaders taking advantage of those more vulnerable.

The next Men's Breakfast will be on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 10 AM at 136 Taylor St
