Over 40% of the Tenderloin (inner city of San Francisco) families are single mother homes. San Francisco City Academy, our K-8 school has around 90 kids and families who endure the hustle and bustle of the urban life. The efforts of every mom goes unnoticed, especially in the inner city where distribution of resources are offset, and low-income families struggle to make ends meet.
On Valentine’s Day, City Impact got to bless over 30 moms while distributing beauty products given by a number of campaign sponsors through Project Beauty Share. This was a moment to take in and see so many working moms all together for a mid-day break on Valentine’s Day.
