ROLE SUMMARY
Volunteer Center AM Operations Assistant will handle the administrative duties of the Volunteer Center & Missions department in order to maintain organization, stability, and clarity in the department
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Outreach Design & Leadership
Planning and carrying out the design of outreaches that meaningfully mobilize mission teams.
Lead and train leaders to mobilize missions teams and volunteers in outreaches
Supplies are ready in place
Briefings are prepared
Outreach operations run in an orderly manner
Meaningful opportunities for Missions Team Members to reach the community are facilitated
Encouraging and thought provoking debriefs are held
Supplies are returned to the proper place
Hosting Teams
Planning and carrying out the provision of meals.
Overseeing housing and facility operations.
Working with youth pastors and trip organizers to make each trip practical and memorable.
Participating with Missions Teams in activities outside of outreaches such as team bonding time, team outings, etc.
Carrying out the celebratory Sutro Heights trip for teams at the end of a premier mission trip week.
Correct and aptly responding to emergency situations such a medical, personal, or departmental emergencies.
Integrating Local Volunteers
Integrating local volunteers into the daily operations of SFCI.
Leadership training for local volunteers
Recruitment of Leaders for Outreaches.
Assistance in managing SOM Student schedules and responsibilities.
Point of contact for volunteers on site.
QUALIFICATIONS
Love for Jesus and His Church
Agreement with the statement of faith, theology, and core values of SF City Impact
Demonstrates integrity, truthfulness, discretion, and conducts self in a professional manner making proper use of organizational resources
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Able to work in fast-paced and high energy environment
Demonstrates the ability to work with others and submit to authority
Demonstrates a desire and ability to create an inviting and welcoming space for guests
3 months SFCI missions and/or School of Ministry experience preferred
SCHEDULE
Mon-Fri, 10:00am-2:00pm
Specific Saturdays and other weekend hours as needed
HOURS
25 hours per week
Non-exempt
