San Francisco City Impact exists to intervene on behalf of the people in the inner city of San Francisco. San Francisco City Academy’s mission is to empower urban children and release them to excel academically, physically, spiritually, and socially. We believe students should have a solid foundation in both academic and character development to succeed in life. Our goal is to ensure that students succeed.


Support the SFCA School Director in administrative tasks, and discipline with students. Primary responsibilities include: discipline, ensuring that SFCA is a clean and safe environment, and substitute teaching as needed.


  • Support in management of daily operations, facilities, safety, and administrative processes, including:

    • Check cleanliness of facilities (both restrooms and classrooms) daily

    • School's student management policies such as attendance, dress code, etc.

    • Adhere to SFCA best practices, policies and procedures

    • Perform annual review of the Staff and Student handbooks to report to School Director

    • Serve as primary disciplinarian in cases of first-time or minor offenses

    • Oversee School of Ministry students’ schedules and classroom/work performance

  • Assist School Director in developing an effective school community, including: working with parents to better serve students; garnering support from community groups and leaders; and developing positive relationships with sponsoring district and neighborhood schools

  • Work with SFCA School Director to prioritize facilities maintenance and improvements as they relate to safety of staff and students, public image of the school

  • Serve as preliminary resource in conflict resolution, crisis intervention and referral recommendations for staff, students and parents

  • Support School Director in emergency preparedness training for faculty

  • Substitute teach as needed

  • Assist SFCA front office with student enrollment and registration processes as needed

  • Recruit, interview and recommend student candidates to the School Director

  • Attend Sunday Church worship service to be an example to SFCA Staff

  • Support the ACSI event coordinator in planning and implementation of academic contests

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned by the School Director and Superintendent

  • Support and participate in key SF City Impact annual events and outreaches

  • Abide and provide oversight in SF City Academy of all state and federal mandates in reporting sexual or physical abuse and neglect


  • Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

    • Agreement with the statement of faith and core values of SF City Academy and SF City Impact

    • 1 to 3 years of teaching experience

    • Bachelor’s degree; Masters or Ph.D. in education preferred from an accredited university

    • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Must pass a fingerprint and background check

  • Leadership of staff experience strongly preferred


Monday–Friday; and available to assist with weekend outreaches and attend SFCA Church Rotation/AAB


40 hours per week; Exempt
