OVERVIEW

SF City Impact is a non-profit organization that exists to intervene on behalf of the people in the inner city of San Francisco. We ensure every decision keeps our pace, benefits our people, and helps tract towards our strategic plan. 


ROLE SUMMARY

Tell the story of SF City Impact through social media content that will lead people to engage in the mission of SFCI.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, present, and manage a social media strategy to come alongside Development, and Marketing goals

    • Help engage SFCI’s digital audience to partake in the mission of SFCI (e.g. volunteer or fundraise)

    • Help inspire others to intervene on behalf of others through daily posts

  • Help engage marketing & communications volunteers

    • Help check in and empower volunteers

    • Involve them in events and stories

  • Understand brand the brand identity of City Impact and different avenues to communicate story

    • Learn the voice and language of City Impact

  • Understand audience-centric communication, and how to write with the donor or volunteer in mind

  • Help coordinate video/photo content for social media to engage and foster online community through strategic plans

  • Help coordinate frequent giveaways and capture special events

  • Collect archive of stories to tell to develop photo/video content

  • Assist the development team and ministry with administrative tasks when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrates the ability to discuss confidential matters online in an appropriate manner or setting and to the appropriate person

  • Proficiency in writing for business, and programs such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin

  • Fluent in Youtube management, as well as Vimeo, Hootsuite, and Tweetdeck

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud including Illustrator, Photoshop and Lightroom

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Ability to work in an open space environment

  • 4+ years of experience in social media experience

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday with flexibility to assist with development and church events when needed

HOURS

20-40 hours per week

Non-exempt

REPORTS TO

Executive Officers, Marketing Director, and Assistant Development Director

Staff, volunteers, SFCA students, donors, and special guests
