OVERVIEW

SF City Impact is a non-profit organization that exists to intervene on behalf of the people in the inner city of San Francisco. We ensure every decision keeps our pace, benefits our people, and helps tract towards our strategic plan. 


ROLE SUMMARY

Coordinate and manage the logistics of the School of Ministry as a whole to ensure its quality as well as the promotion of the School of Ministry to ensure its growth.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the plan for promotion/recruitment for the School of Ministry.

  • Follow plan for promotion/recruitment for the School of Ministry

    • Create material for SOM promotional social media accounts with approval by SOM leadership

  • Assist SOM Manager in maintaining records and conducting interview of new applicants

  • Coordinate with people interested in the School of Ministry including answering questions, intake of applications, and helping them with arrival to SFCI

  • Apply policies, procedures, and disciplinary action for SOM students with the help of the SOM Leadership team

  • Maintain effective schedules for all students managing their work-sites, discipleship groups, Adopt-a-Building (AAB), classes, study halls, and missions team commitments
    Facilitate student PTO requests to ensure proper review and approval procedures with SOM Leadership team

    • Update SOM PTO Calendar to communicate student unavailability with work site leads

  • Perform Student Housing Room and SOM Facility inspections every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

  • Perform Resident Advisor responsibilities to support SOM students at our SFCI sites.

    • Requires SOM Coordinator to live in one of the SFRM (SF Rescue Mission) Housing Program sites.

  • Keep updated files on each student. Shred documents after scanning into online files.

  • Coordinate and support School of Ministry retreats, orientation, and other SOM events

  • Facilitate a check-in with students each week on four key areas of their schooling: 

  • Student Life (Housing & Relationships) 

  • Academic Life (Northwest & Chris’ Classes)

  • Church (Discipleship, Prayer, Church, & AAB)

  • Work Site and assess student performance

  • Report student issues and work with SOM Leadership to resolve them

  • Participate in all church related activities including Sunday worship service

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Love for Jesus and His Church

  • Agreement with Statement of Faith, theology, and core values of SF City Impact

  • Demonstrates integrity, truthfulness, discretion, and conducts self in a professional manner making proper use of organizational resources

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficient in word processing and administrative duties

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively and deliver project deadlines

  • Ability to make decisions in accordance to established policies and regulations

  • 1+ Year of Experience in SFCI School of Ministry program preferred
